Participants will engage in hands-on training stations on insulin administration, glucose monitoring, and emergency management with a focus on individualized, evidence-based care.

Learning Objectives:

  • Demonstrate practical skills in insulin administration techniques, glucose monitoring devices, and insulin
    pump usage.
  • Apply evidence-based strategies for initiating and adjusting insulin therapy in children and adolescents.
  • Recognize and manage acute diabetes emergencies, such as hypoglycemia and diabetic ketoacidosis, in
    frontline settings.
  • Counsel patients and families on lifestyle modifications, including nutrition, exercise, and psychosocial support
    for children with diabetes.
  • Integrate multidisciplinary approaches to optimize long-term outcomes and transition of care into adolescence and adulthood.
