This workshop provides clinicians with updated knowledge and practical skills in the diagnosis, management, and prevention of pediatric asthma and wheezing disorders. Emphasis will be placed on guideline-based therapy through a mix of case studies, interactive demonstrations, and Q&A sessions, participants will gain practical skills for acute care and long-term disease control.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Engage in team-based learning and reinforce knowledge through interactive asthma-related quiz activities.
  • Recognize and differentiate common pediatric wheezing disorders, including viral-induced wheeze, episodic
    wheeze, multi-trigger wheeze, and asthma.
  • Understand clinical phenotypes and endotypes of wheezing disorders and apply this knowledge to guide
    treatment decisions.
  • Perform and interpret spirometry, FOT (Forced Oscillation Technique), and FeNO measurements in children.
  • Identify barriers to treatment adherence and explore strategies to improve compliance, including electronic
    inhaler monitoring and digital reminders.
  • Integrate evidence-based assessment and management approaches into clinical practice for pediatric patients
    with wheezing disorders.
